From Bungiepedia
A moral crusader seeking justice, Dogbert14 is a member of bungie.net. He first joined the site November 4, 2004 and has been a very active member since. He is best known for his involvement in groups, especially his own group, The Human Alliance, and Spartans Alliance. He is also known for founding The Separatists, a conquering organization, although it was later revealed that the Seps disobeyed his true orders and got out of control. He has several enemies, from group conqueror Cyclone868 to forum moderator Stosh to forum member FlameSama1 (Cyclone has since been driven into hiding by Dogbert).
Some events he thought had ended for good come back to haunt him. Hunter0293, an anti-conquering member of the Community, targeted Dogbert, who had been labeled a "conqueror" since 2006 by a secret, anti-conquering group Hunter0293 was a part of. Dogbert explained to Hunter that he had changed since then. Later, when Hunter attempted to take over a group Dogbert was in (Imperial Center), Dogbert became his enemy. Dogbert took Hunter down by exposing Hunter for what he truly was - a power hungry moderator - by publicly resigning from Imperial Center. This caused Hunter to create new rules for the group (designed to keep people like Dogbert from rising to power) without the consent of Iamthey, the founder. Also, another moderator left because Dogbert left. Iamthey, enraged by Hunter's arrogance and the fact that he was slowly destroying the group, booted Hunter from the IC staff.
In 2007, it was discovered that he was masterminding the S/E war, which added to Dogbert's already unclean reputation. Although many forgave him, he is still trying to regain some of the Community's trust. He is currently 17 years old and plans on becoming a detective in the future.
His nature
Idealogy
Dogbert is known for his obsession with justice. He treats criminals with severe disdain. He also advocates the death penalty, though he believes that the death penalty should only be used against murderers. Dogbert is determined to the point of obsession to do justice and help people.
Dogbert rarely participates in politics due to their corrupt nature, and is not a member of any political party. He believes that government should be limited to only national security and nothing else. He treats politics with contempt and believes that anyone involved in politics is corrupt on some scale (this belief has caused him much trouble with the group Body Politic). He once supported governmental control and manipulated power, but he eventually realized that power corrupts. He strongly believes that an ability to restrain yourself from power is a strong and admirable trait, whereas seeking power shows weakness.
Personality
Despite his denial, many people claim that Dogbert has an arrogant, egotistical personality. He believes that he alone is right on certain issues such as governmental control and human rights (for example, when once asked if he believes he is 100% right on certain issues and anybody who disagrees with him is wrong, he replied, "Yeah, pretty much."). Also, he is known for getting involved in group wars and "tangling himself up" in others' affairs. These personality traits have earned him several enemies, a lot of which have openly attacked his group for it.
Dogbert often treats his enemies differently than most people do to their own. He usually talks to his enemies calmly (though some of his enemies tend to get under his skin, in which case he temporarily snaps). He also makes vague statements suggesting that he knows more than he says. He treats group conquerors harshly and is not at all intimidated by them, even going so far as to openly threaten them.
Interests
Dogbert is into sports, girls and bodybuilding. As mentioned before, he also holds in interest in justice, the main reason why he plans on becoming a detective.
Loyalties
One thing Dogbert has been critized for are his loyalties. Though it would seem that, given his moral stance, he is loyal to friends, he is known for backstabbing people. An example of this is his previous "treason trial" in Imperial Center, when he was caught plotting to destroy the group, but only because he thought that the founder himself had betrayed him. Thus, this argument can be countered and presented both ways, as he will only betray you if you did something first.
bungie.net career
Dogbert joined bungie.net on November 4, 2004. He mainly posted in the main forums. His attention diverted to groups when he founded The Human Alliance on April 28, 2005 (though he had founded the unsuccessful 8th Column previously).
TSC war
Dogbert joined a group called The Sangheili Council. He was a member there for a fairly long time until he went to their forums and introduced himself in a thread, claiming that he was a "Human Prophet." Also, since most members there trash-talked humans, this angered him and so he said that "humans kick the crap out of Elites." This proved to be a mistake by all of the flaming and critism directed towards him shortly afterwards. Sword Phantom91, a Hierarch of TSC at the time, saw this as "heresy" and blacklisted him. Dogbert left TSC out of anger. Since he thought that his blacklisting was unfair and purely prejudiced, he declared war on them and sent members of HA to spy on them and destroy them. Over the summer of 2005, peace was made between Dogbert and Reconcilation, the founder. However, most members of TSC did not forgive so kindly and continued to be enemies with him, even to this very day, though Dogbert has not made contact with any of them for over two years.
High Charity war
Soon after the fall of TSC, Demon slayer 116, an old member of TSC, started his own group called High Charity. He forgave Dogbert for what he had said and got him to join High Charity. As the group slowly began to progress, Dogbert noticed that many old members of TSC were joining. He did not like this at all and left. Demon slayer 166 noticed this and asked him why he left. Dogbert told him why and Demon slayer 116 was not pleased. He basically flamed Dogbert after his comment. Demon slayer 116 was soon booted from HA and Dogbert once again declared war. Eventually, Dogbert ended the war because he realized that it was pointless to begin with.
Forming the Senate
During this time, Dogbert had decided that group wars must be put to an end. He formed a Senate full of representatives from many groups. The Senate took place in a thread in HA.
Conflict with Cyclone
Behind a curtain of secrecy lurked Cyclone868, a self proclaimed spy of the Covenant Elite Community and the one that brought an end to HA for some time. Cyclone threatened High Charity. He said that he would put an end to many Covenant themed groups such as CEC. Dogbert liked this. He PMed Cyclone, telling him that he would like to help him destroy Covenant groups, mainly CEC. Cyclone told him that he liked his ideas and that they would discuss how to destroy those groups. Their first target would be CEC. During that time, they discussed on PMs, Xbox Live, and AIM how to destroy CEC. They decided that in order to fully destroy it, they needed to hack Sword Phantom91's account, since he was the founder of CEC. They dicussed how to hack it. Each had their own ideas. Eventually, Cyclone told Dogbert that he should be promoted to the rank of a Prophet in HA. Dogbert agreed and promoted him, granting him the title of the Prophet of Sacrifice. This proved to be a mistake. As many days of planning occurred, Cyclone destroyed HA. Dogbert, angry, asked Cyclone why he destroyed HA. Cyclone revealed that he was really a spy of CEC and that HA's destruction had something to do with his rank. Dogbert had no choice but to plead for his group back.
Cyclone blackmailed him, continually asking for things such as access to his enemy groups. He claimed himself to be HA's new leader. Dogbert and his old, loyal members did not like this. Eventually, Dogbert got his group back and demoted Cyclone. Although Dogbert now controlled HA as he once did Cyclone claimed that he could hack the group if he wanted to. Dogbert wanted to know how to hack. Cyclone agreed that he would teach him how. However, he started to blackmail Dogbert again. He did not like this at all. Angered, he decided to take a stand. He booted Cyclone from both HA and its Council and ordered TheVoiceofReason, an Honor Guard of the old HA, to blacklist him in case he somehow got in again. He blocked Cyclone from both his PMs and AIM, and removed him from his Friends List on XBL. He no longer believed Cyclone could hack. The tide had turned. Dogbert destroyed the placeholder made by Cyclone and created a new one, telling old members of HA to join it once again. They did so and so did new members as well.
Covenant Senate Crisis
Dogbert had already managed to turn many people and groups against Cyclone, although some groups, such as High Charity, forgave him for his crimes. He had been booted and blacklisted from many groups. However, he wanted to exact revenge on Dogbert. He created a thread in many groups using a different account. The thread provided evidence that Dogbert really did want to destroy CEC, quoting a conversation by Cyclone and Dogbert over AIM, and a message from Dogbert explaining how CEC would be destroyed. Most groups he had posted this in believed him, and forgave him. One particular group called The Covenant Senate, founded by Reconcilation, wanted to “take action” against HA. Reconcilation ordered the members of TCS to join HA and “inspect” it. However, Dogbert did not like this at all. He presented this to the Senate as an issue. As many members from TCS attempted to join HA only to be rejected, Dogbert angrily told a member of TCS that he took this “inspection” as a threat to both him and Where u At, threatening that it would “not be tolerated.” Shortly after that message members of TCS stopped trying to join HA and were not heard from since.
"Order" Crisis
Later, Dogbert created a list of “Orders” that can be given by him at any time. Although they were meant only to protect HA from conquerors as means of defense, many people even outside of the group took offense to these Orders and discussed taking “appropriate action” against HA. It was mainly started by a Senator in HA called Guardian Hunter. He posted his concerns in the 7th Column Assembly, labeling Dogbert and HA itself as “corrupt”. Although many members in the Assembly wanted to take action, Papa John did not see HA as a threat. However, he did express dislike towards them, claiming that they “have become too self concerned to help the Community." At this point many members openly objected to the Orders in both the Assembly and HA itself. Dogbert did not know that the Orders would cause such an outrage. He deleted them almost immediatley and disbanded the Senate a while later.
The Orders caused Dogbert to be labeled an official "conqueror" of an underground, anti-conquering organization, something Dogbert had discovered in early 2008 - two years later.
Cyclone's revenge
Cyclone, who was leaving bungie.net, decided to mark his departure by destroying HA again. He got Hotshotesquire to give him his account information. Using Hotshotesquire's account, which had booting permissions, he destroyed HA for the second time. The following day he created a placeholder for it. History had repeated itself once more. Dogbert reported this to Achronos, who deleted the placeholder. Soon after, Cyclone made a second placeholder. Dogbert reported this to Achronos once more but was refused help. In order to ever gain HA back the placeholder needed to be destroyed. Hacking was one of the plans but was eventually given up on. Suddenly, Dogbert had an idea. He remembered how groups were automatically deleted if they were not active within 60 days. His plan was to wait 60 days until the placeholder was automatically deleted (if a group has less than four members throughout 60 days, it is automatically deleted). During this waiting period, one of Dogbert's friends, EnglandOnMyMind, joined the Imperial Inner Circle, and was granted the title of Prophet of Happiness. However, problems began to arise when Cyclone used HA's placeholder as an excuse to combat the Separatists. They had three members – only one more was needed to be off of probation, which would ruin Dogbert's plan. However, one member left and the placeholder had only two members. During this time, the Separatists destroyed an Elite group, Sangheili Masters, and a major Elite group called the Council of Cordanance was conquered by Cyclone using his alternate account, Sauron. Soon, the placeholder gained 6 members, foiling Dogbert's first plan.
In pure desperation, he reported the placeholder to Achronos, who once again refused. On May 11th Cyclone gave Dogbert HA back, claming that he wanted to make peace. Since Dogbert did not have his main account due to a computer virus which had forced him to erase a lot of computer data, he used his alternate account, dgbrt14, to retake HA. Cyclone told Dogbert that he wanted to discuss “policies” of this matter with him and also wanted to become a leader. Dogbert refused. When it became apparent that Cyclone was once again trying to trick him, Dogbert blocked him and decided to block all communications whatsoever with him forever. On May 13 Dogbert finally regained his main account.
Problems with MBT
Dogbert began insulting Mjolnir Battle Tactics, even going as far as to write an article called "The Stupidity of MBT." MBT discussed plans on how to take down both him and HA (they even believed that Dogbert's age, which was 14 at the time, would be his downfall). Quickstrike NC, an MBT council member, believed that the two groups shouldn't be at war. The attempts of Quickstrike were successful and Dogbert made amends with MBT.
S/E war
In 2007 it was revealed that Dogbert himself was Count Confusion, The Noobinator and MAST3R Y0DA. He was orchestrating the S/E war the entire time. Iamthey owned a group called Central Politics. He and Dogbert co-founded it. Because of this, Dogbert believed that he had the right to Full Control alongside Iamthey. Eventually he made a deal with him – that he would promote him in HA but on the terms of getting FC in CP. Dogbert held up his part of the bargain but Iamthey did not. He thought that Dogbert already had FC. Dogbert obviously did not know this, so he planned to destroy CP. He told Hotshotesquire about this, who in turn told Iamthey upon discovering that Dogbert was planning to destroy his group, LSP (Dogbert thought that Hotshotesquire was seizing too much power with it). In response, Iamthey revealed to the public Dogbert's secret. Dogbert originally denied being any of the Sep figures, saying that it was a prank iamthey took too seriously, but later admitted his guilt. FlameSama left HA, along with the entire staff except Brian Walker (who was later booted upon Dogbert discovering that he was planning to destroy HA in response to the S/E war conflict). WhiffleBallTony demanded a talk with Dogbert, who explained that the Seps were created as a publicity stunt for HA that went too far when the Sep members started destroying groups (something that Dogbert never wanted). He forgave him.
CovanatSlayer117 was outraged. This was also was the last straw for FlameSama, who left FAW. However, Matthew_Kaine forgave Dogbert. FlameSama, who mocked dogbert, telling him that he would never regain his staff, was not heard from again at the time. However, it was not enough for the Elites of the Covenant, who threatened both Dogbert and HA itself. Insults flew back and forth for a long time. Then Dogbert explained himself in a detailed manner:
Yes, I did conduct the S/E war. But not in the way that you think. The Seps were created to scare the Community. The plan was that my group, High Alliance, would destroy them and gain publicity, obviously causing member growth. The whole thing about the Seps being against Elites was a scandal – I needed a reason for them to exist. However, my members went too far and started to actually attack Elite groups. Yes, I did encourage them, but I needed to appear to be on their side. Many of my members went as far to attacking groups I forbade them to attack, such as The Unified Core. It was not in the plan for the Seps to do anything like that. I gave several sublimal clues (I counted more than 50) to my secret throughout the course of the war. I'm still surprised that my secret wasn't discovered earlier. The most obvious clue was me relating myself to Palpatine from Star Wars – the person who orchestrated a war with the Separatists, had Count Dooku as a helper, and had a well-known reputation. I thought MAST3R Y0DA was going too far with the clues, but apparently not. I no longer have a personality resembling Palpatine (thank god) but me and one other person who knew from the beginning laughed our asses off at the sheer ignorance of the Community. Master Yodel became a problem. He wanted to establish himself as a known conqueror, which he ultimatley did. I eventually kicked him out of the Seps for being a dumbass. I never wanted any actual groups to be harmed. The only groups I myself attacked were branches of my own group, like Conservative Party Union and The Tattered Volume. Besides, they already suffered from inactivity. Some people were kind enough to forgive me. I don't know why they did because if I were them there would be no forgiveness. I appreciated that. Some others made a big scene out of it and tried to use it against me. They failed and one of them, one of my former staff members, is not to be seen anywhere. I am not asking for your forgiveness, because I do not deserve any, but I just want these skeletons out of my closet. I apologize for causing these horrible chain of events, but some of you really need to get a life and stop worrying about your groups. I'm done gaining publicity for my group because now I have a real life.
CovanatSlayer117 and The art of halo2 forgave Dogbert but were not allowed back into HA until further notice. Cyclone was caught plotting against HA again, which ended when Dogbert contacted him and threatened to do even more damage to his reputation. Brian Walker was also caught plotting to destroy HA and was promptly booted by Dogbert. Later, The art of halo2 began insulting him and he and Dogbert remain enemies. FlameSama joined Imperial Center and began insulting Dogbert again. Dogbert offered him forgiveness but FlameSama refused.
Spartans Alliance
Though Dogbert was already a member of the group Spartans Alliance, he did not become active until it became involved in a group war with Earths Battlefield, led by Simon 5000. Using his previously inactive Y0DA account, he attempted to bring Simon down but stopped when the war ended peacefully.
IC Treason Trial
Dogbert was still trying to convince Iamthey to boot FlameSama from his group, Imperial Center but Iamthey, believing FlameSama to be a useful political object to use to his advantage, refused. Dogbert told FlameSama Iamthey's true reason for not booting him. When FlameSama did not believe him, he posted a part of an AIM conversation he had with Iamthey in which Iamthey told him his reasons for making FlameSama stay. Iamthey, infuriated at what he saw as another betrayal, banned Dogbert from IC and put him on trial for treason. Dogbert explained to Iamthey that though he knew what he was doing was risky, it was for the greater good. Iamthey accepted this but told Dogbert that he could not trust him anymore. The two agreed not to talk for several months until "the dust cleared." Iamthey dropped the treason charge but still charged him with misusing his moderator powers against FlameSama. Dogbert lost his rank as punishment and once again had his loyalties compromised. Iamthey and Dogbert eventually started talking again but Iamthey did not rejoin HA (though months later he did rejoin HA). FlameSama warned Dogbert to not pick fights with him again but Dogbert refused to back down. Dogbert soon made peace with his old enemy FlameStarter.
Alliace proposition and destruction
Dogbert, now a member of ogame.org, proposed the idea of creating a new bungie.net-themed Ogame alliance. The SA SCT Alliance was formed as a result. Dogbert promoted himself to the rank of "General Dogbert."
In two more weeks the alliance was deleted by one of its leaders, due to Dogbert saying bad things about the "corrupt" Bungie Alliance. Dogbert was mostly blamed for starting the conflict and was briefly disrespected by most of Spartans Alliance's regulars, until the matter was eventually forgotten about.
Imperial Center resignation
In June 2008, Hunter0293, a high ranking member of Imperial Center, attempted to take over the group. He convinced Iamthey to lower the mod powers of every lesser moderator in the group. In addition, he suggested demoting every moderator but himself, including fellow High Counsel member WhiffleBallTony, and removed Dogbert from his position as a moderator. Disgusted that Hunter was now the unofficial leader of IC, Dogbert resigned in protest. Agreeing with Dogbert, Hotshotesquire also resigned. Hunter claimed that he was only trying to improve the group, but Dogbert knew he was lying.
Dogbert took Hunter down by exposing Hunter for what he truly was - a power hungry moderator - by publicly resigning from Imperial Center. This caused Hunter to create new rules for the group (designed to keep people like Dogbert from rising to power) without the consent of Iamthey. Iamthey, enraged by Hunter's arrogance and the fact that he was slowly destroying the group, booted Hunter from the IC staff. Satisfied with Hunter's defeat, Dogbert rejoined, along with Hotshotesquire. However, he (Dogbert) resigned for good shortly afterwards because IC was the only group he was having problems with, and did not want to deal with it any longer:
This group....I'm letting it go to the dogs. I am tired of the nonstop arguing. Right now, this is the only group I am having problems with. I am done with all other members of this group here except for the ones I know are my friends. I am not done with FlameSama, however, until 10-20 years from now I either jail him or shoot him dead. Hunter, as much as I dislike him for what he had tried to do to this group, I do not hate, to be honest. I have no idea what he is like in real life (unlike FlameSama, who I can tell is an outright a-hole in reaI life, just like he is on the internet), so I'm done with my feud with him.
Iamthey can be a good leader, but he is not making good decisions with this group at the moment. He prefers to tolerate annoying people on this site, and I prefer to stomp all over them. Therefore, I have no place in this group any longer, because I am not going to tolerate Iamthey's policies anymore. Don't try to convince me to rejoin - I've given this group too many chances as it is. So goodbye.
Shortly after he left, Hunter, CovanatSlayer117 and Hotshot left. Hunter left for reasons unknown (probably because he had no more power there). The latter two left because they agreed with Dogbert.
Currently
Dogbert has changed drastically since his earlier b.net years. Currently, he still leads The Human Alliance but rarely posts in it anymore. He is most active in Spartans Alliance. However, bungie.net is no longer the only website he posts in anymore. He is now an active member of several websites.
Once someone to ridicule others, he now respects others. Once driven by rage, he is now driven by compassion. He is very protective of his friends, and other people as well.
In fiction
Bungie Wars: Spartans Alliance
In Bungie Wars: Spartans Alliance, Dogbert is a regular. He is portayed as the Lieutenant of SA, a detective obsessed with justice. He is the first character shown in the entire story. It's revealed that he had a brother, Raymond, who is stated to be dead, although the circumstances surrounding his death are not revealed. In the first chapter he chases down and shoots a murder suspect. In the next chapter he is investigating the murder of a SWAT team member but gives the case to Alexgators1 when he is asked to help in a shootout. He arrives to the shootout and disarms the shooter. He later suspects that there is mole high up in SA's ranks after he realizes that the shooter couldn't have entered the place of the shootout (a video-conference room) without help from a member of SA's leading council.
