Halo 3:ODST is the game that Bungie is currently working on. It is set to release September 22nd 2009. It will take place during the events of Halo 2, more specifically right after the Halo 2 level, Metropolis. You will play as an ODST, in place of the Master Chief. Halo 3: ODST is set to be a stand alone expansion to Halo 3.

[edit] Gameplay

[edit]

Since you will not be playing as the Master Chief, you will lose some benefits from the Mjolnir Mk. VI Powered Assault Armour.Shielding being one of them, you no have a regenerating health bar but a stamina bar that reacharges and a health bar that doesn't, to regain health you need to pick up a health pack distributed around the city (so its kinda like the health system in halo 1).A couple minor things would be;the ability to dual wield certain weapons, can't jump as high or move as fast (dont worry this wont affect the gameplay too much), and since you don't have as good of a sheilding system you can't run into a room full of covinent, guns a blaze, and still live to tell about it. On the plus side, you will have an ingame PDA and a night vision function, which is toggled by the X-button.

Fire-fight: A new way for the Halo multiplayer to be played. Fire-fight will be a game mode where you can play with up to two people on the same console or up to four over Xbox Live or system link. After gathering a few of your friends or getting some pizza and a drink and your ready to battle wave after wave of covinent forces with skulls turning on through out the game to make things more...........interesting.
