B.B.'s Halo 2 emblem and forum avatar

BerserkerBarage was a member of the Bungie Community and typically frequented Bungie.net (forums and groups), Halo.Bungie.Org, and other gaming websites. "~B.B." was how he always signed off on his posts. He mostly interacted in the Optimatch forum and would hold debates with many community members. In 2007,[1][2] he shared his walkthrough of Marathon 2: Durandal. Later that year,[3] he became a Webcam MVP.

In 2008 and 2009, he journeyed to Seattle, Washington, to meet with various members of the Bungie and Halo community at Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). About a week after PAX 2009,[4] he was interviewed for the "Average Joe" series about his personal life, history with Bungie games, and his involvement with the community, particularly with The WorkPLace.

Personal Life[]

B.B.'s real name was Logan and he got married in October 2009 to "Adverseposesion." He had a dog, Deja, who he named after the A.I. who was the teacher and assistant to the Spartan-II Program in the Halo series.

He helped run Rebuilding Together Dayton[5], a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity in Dayton, Ohio, where he "managed volunteers, contractors, clients, projects, and fund sources for a program that helps elderly, low-income homeowners do needed house repairs."[4]

Death and Impact[]

B.B. honored in Halo: Reach

On February 25, 2010,[6] it was announced that B.B. had passed away after battling an infection for a week. His funeral was held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010.[7]

His death was felt throughout the community.[6][8] In response, his wife post on his account to thank everyone for the memories they had shared.[9] Bungie honored him by including a reference to him in Halo: Reach in the form of an ODST or marine with name "PVT L. Starline" with "BB" as his callsign.[10][11]

Bobcast also took it upon himself to get a Halo 3 launch poster signed by various Bungie developers that he then auctioned off, with a donation being made in memory of B.B.[12][13]
